Common Questions

Where are you located and do you travel?
I am currently located in Rhode Island, but ready to head out at just about any time. I love traveling, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you'd like me to photograph elsewhere!

What should I wear?

Such a great question! I usually start by telling people coordination is key. Typically using a solid color and a print for a couple's session is perfect! The girl could wear a navy blue dress and the guy could wear a plaid button down shirt that has a navy stripe in it. Or for a family session, take a print and then draw out colors from it and use those for solids for the rest of the family. Depending on the number of family members, another pattern can be used. I love how different sized stripes look together or perhaps little polka dots with plaid, all staying in a little color scheme that plays off one main patterned piece.

Secondly, be comfortable! Always make sure to try on your clothes before the day of the session. Lay them out and make sure everyone will be comfy! Lastly, shoes matter! Not in a big huge way, but if little Sally has Barbie slippers on, you will notice. Not that it's a bad thing -- because hey, I'm all about the raw and real, but sometimes parents don't like that. Either way, you do you! What I'm saying is, checkout everybody's shoes and make sure you're okay with them!

What can I expect as far as extensive editing?

When it comes to airbrushing and achieving an overly perfect look that, my friend, is something I do not do. As I've mentioned before, I am in it for the raw and the real – the moments that you will be able to look back on and literally feel. If you're wanting the airbrushed look, I may not be the photographer for you.

Where have you photographed?

All around the country! As a military spouse, I have lived in all four corners of the United States and have driven through just about every other state, to include several national parks.

How do payments work?

A 50% retainer fee is required to hold your date. This date is for you and no one else can book on that day. The rest is due prior to the session.

What time will our session be scheduled?

For optimal lighting, I usually recommend about an hour or so before sunset. However, if we want to get together before then, we will plan a location that has a good shaded option.

How can I book a session with you?

What is your typical process for working with your clients?

We will chat details by email or phone to start! After that, we will plan out our time together. If you are getting married, I will create a custom photography timeline for you. We'll be sure to discuss goals for your session and I will ask you some questions to get to know you better. I'd love to hear your story with any and all details included if you are willing to share. Getting to know you allows me to photograph you even better. Then we'll gather for the photo shoot, and approximately three weeks later, the photographs will be all ready for viewing in your customized online gallery. The images are professionally edited, fully downloadable and in high resolution. There is the option for ordering prints if you'd like; otherwise you have full printing rights to print from any place you desire.

Do you photograph corporate events or do traditional newborn images?

No. I truly feel like I thrive most in the areas that I specialize in. I want the best for you and don't think I would be the perfect fit in those areas.

What are you doing in regards to COVID 19?

I wear a mask when requested to do so and do my best to keep us socially distanced from others at whatever location is decided.

Do you offer mentoring sessions?

Yes! I serve beginner photographers. I have three different options to choose from! The investment for these starts at $185.
